The
ABCC is generously supported by both Acton and Boxborough town funds
which are designated on an annual basis for Council-originated
programming. The ABCC uses these local funds to produce exciting
events and programs which benefit the Acton and Boxborough
communities.

The ABCC celebrated the 2010 grantee receception on
April 9th 2010. The event was well attended and was a huge
success.
The event included performances, displays,
refreshments, and was an opportunity for networking among
local artists, organizations and community leaders.We also
celebrated our local winner of the 2010 Massachusetts Cultural
Council's Gold Star Award, the project "Re-Visioning Acton"
completed by Ann Sussman of Acton in collaboration with several
local and regional partners.

ABCC's OUR WORLD International Film Festival- March -
May 2009
OUR WORLD International Film Festival was presented on the
selected Thursday evenings through May 15, 2009 with the following
international films: Brazil Central Station / R (March
26);China Raise the Red Lantern / PG (April 2); Russia Ballad of a
Soldier / Unrated (April 16); ndia Om Shanti Om / PG-13 (May
7),Sort Film Festival (May 15). All films were
presented at the Sargent Memorial Library, 427 Massachusetts Avenue,
Boxborough

June 17, 2006The Storyteller's Tent at Fifer's
Day in Boxborough The ABCC sponsored a new Storyteller's
Tent at the annual Fifer?s Day fair in Boxborough. This
event, run by the Boxborough Minutemen, honors Boxborough fifer Luther
Blanchard who marched at Concord bridge at the start of the American
Revolution. In keeping with the theme of Fifer's Day, the ABCC
sponsored two costumed storytellers Merrill Kohlhofer and
Andrea Lovett, who brought to life original tales from the American
Revolution. The Storyteller's Tent welcomed children and adults of

May 13, 2006Arts Alive! ABCC in
conjunction with the Arts Process Network The ABCC
collaborated with the Arts Process Network to present an
interactive, arts-education event for adults. The theme of the event
was the relationship of people to their towns, and centered around a
mural created by participants depicting feelings about the towns
where we live, work and play. Panelists from the Arts Process
Network discussed ways that arts and arts processes can be used to

November 4, 2005Verdi's La Traviata at St.
Matthew's Hall Longwood Opera Company This
concert, held at Acton's St. Matthew's Fellowship Hall, was a
sell-out with about 125 people. The concert drew people from Acton,
Boxborough and many neighboring towns, along with the troupe?s

May 29, 2005?Emily Dickinson
Rock Nannette Perrotte Combo at Sargent Memorial
Library The ABCC used our Boxborough grant funds to
produce this show in honor of the library's opening. This original
rock composition brought the enigmatic poetry of Emily Dickinson to
life. The Boxborough Library set up a tie-in exhibit of Emily

Library Alla Breve Chamber Music The new
Boxborough library requested ABCC's help in obtaining and funding
